Philip Newton founded GaiaTech and led it to national recognition. The company provided a pragmatic business approach to transaction due diligence with respect to environmental risk and management. He sold a majority stake to MSouth Equity Partners in 2007, guided the company through the “Great Recession,” then sold it to RPS Group, a publicly traded, global company. Mr. Newton has represented numerous private equity firms, strategic buyers, and other transaction-oriented clients for more than 30 years. He maintains close relationships within the private equity community and serves as a business advisor and Board Member. Phil enjoys golf, skiing and other outdoor activities and travel with his wife Mary.
