

Air Quality Services Consultant
Responsibilities

Manage project work to include:
-
Evaluating applicability of local, state, and/or federal air permitting or registration requirements for new and existing facilities.

Preparing air permit applications for new and existing facilities in US and Canada.
-
Helping industrial clients calculate emissions, prepare regulatory submittals, and maintain compliance with other applicable regulatory obligations related to air emissions and/or air permits.

Role may also include supporting multi-media regulatory compliance for industrial clients, including EPCRA reporting, stormwater and wastewater permitting and compliance, and health and safety.

Provide media-specific review and opinions regarding potential permitting applicability, permit compliance status, and potential compliance corrective action costs to project managers conducting environmental due diligence.

Establish scopes of work and project budgets, manage client communications, prepare and peer-review deliverables, and coordinate interdisciplinary project teams.

Help clients by preparing cost estimates for air permitting and/or design and installation of air emissions control devices.

Provide technical expertise, training, and mentoring to junior staff.

Collaborate and coordinate with Aeterra staff throughout the US to meet internal and external timelines.
Requirements

Minimum of BS in relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical)

>3-5 years of relevant experience

Strong dedication to Health and Safety

Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and people skills

Self-starter and solution-oriented thinker that can work in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical and research skills

Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while managing deadlines and budgets

Fundamental working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations

Ability to travel up to 40%. Travel is typically short duration (1-3 days) and may be local or throughout the US, depending on project needs. Driver’s license and air travel required.
